In the Frame ?
The feedback we receive at the Bariatricshop from users of the Cobi XXL-Rehab frame shows what a great and diverse product this walking frame is.
At 74cm width, the smallest of the two walking frames has been found to be a great benefit to smaller sized users. The extra width allowing users to access or leave their seating with a greater degree of confidence. In some cases, the wider stance allows the user to draw the frame much closer to their chosen position, in addition the frame balance provides a much re-assuring confidence.
Clinical professionals, O.T's and Physio's find the user's confidence grows with even just a little use.
This XXL frame is not heavy, but neither can it be considered lightweight - it weighs just 3 kilos, and is fitted with soft handgrips.
There is a choice of models fitted with wide ferruled feet, or fitted with a pair of wheels at the front. A key point being, both 74cm models can generally access through most UK door widths without the need to fold.
Even on the wider 84cm model, the frame is easily folded and, when folded, takes up very little storage space.
The main function for this Cobi walking frame is the construction using specialist tubing for extra strength. The recommended maximum user weight is 270 kgs / 42 stone, and the height can be easily adjusted to suit a variety of users. This is very handy for bariatric rehabilitation units.
